Thomasville Furniture will launch a new "mag-alog" and $10,000 consumer sweepstakes to support Memorial Day sales.
The new catalog format offers a stylish, fresh approach for readers. It has been designed to read more like a magazine than a catalog; and it features designer tips on how consumers can refresh home décor. The mag-alog will be mailed to consumers in Thomasvilles store markets in mid-May.
To add excitement to its Thomasville Memorial Day Event, the brand is launching a Get Ready to Refresh makeover giveaway, accessible to friends of Thomasville on Facebook. The sweepstakes is spotlighted in the Memorial Day catalog and also supported with online marketing, in-store signage, Facebook advertising, a Twitter campaign, direct mail and an email campaign. The sweepstakes illustrates how $10,000 can completely refresh a consumers room. Examples of beautiful rooms filled with Thomasville furniture will be used throughout the sweepstakes campaign. The sweepstakes begins on May 13 and concludes on June 25.
At Thomasville our designer services are complimentary, whether you buy one piece or a whole new room, so with a great sale during this event, youll be amazed at how being stylish can be so affordable, said Gregory Heller, vice president of Thomasville Retail and chief creative officer of the brand.
Thomasville is a subsidiary of Furniture Brands International.

Blake Millinor, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, said the additions will have a positive impact on the future development of the contract business for the company.
George has joined the company as vice president/sales and marketing of Valdese Weavers Contract.
Scott brings over 25 years of experience managing and growing textile businesses and will provide a seamless transition in providing leadership to fulfill the Valdese Weavers Contract overall growth strategy, Millinor said.
George joined the industry with Milliken in 1981. Beginning in 1986 with a move to Grand Rapids, Mich., his textile career has been associated with the contract industry through senior management positions with a number of companies. George will be relocating to the Valdese/Hickory area.
McFetridge joins Valdese Weavers Contract as design director. She will focus on developing new products for the contract market with an emphasis on custom development. Applied Textiles has granted Simmons Bedding Hospitality the exclusive privilege of using its Nano-Tex stain protection for the new Recharge Beautyrest mattresses.
"The partnership between Simmons Hospitality and Applied Textiles is a perfect marriage of two outstanding products--our legendary Beautyrest Pocketed Coil spring mattresses and Nano-Tex technology," said Steve Tipton, vice president of Simmons Hospitality. "Given the stress that most hotel mattresses undergo, this new Nano-Tex-treated layer adds an enhanced level of stain-resistant protection and preserves the quality of our mattresses. Our partnership with this excellent product enables Simmons to provide a better, more protected product to our customers."
Nano-Tex--originally developed for use on apparel in 2000--has become a leading high-performance fabric protection in the "Top of Bed" segment of the hospitality bedding industry, providing superior stain protection in harsh, heavily trafficked commercial environments.
This highly breathable, safe treatment includes no PFOA, formaldehyde or VOCs and is used by some of the world's most trafficked industries, including healthcare, education, entertainment and hospitality. The Nano-Tex treatment is guaranteed to last the life of the fabric, saving hotels time and money on continuous maintenance and replacement costs.
The companies' agreement gives Simmons exclusive use of Nano-Tex technology during the launch period; all new Simmons Hospitality Recharge Beautyrest mattresses will be treated with the technology.
