Warren -- Art Van Furniture, Michigan's largest furniture chain, is pulling out of the recession a winner, finding ways to get bigger even as the home furnishings industry nosedives for a second consecutive year. Salt Creek Home has opened a third furniture store in Tempe, Ariz.
The new 15,000-square-foot store joins existing locations in Tempe and Scottsdale. Family-owned Salt Creek key furniture vendors include aspenhome, Kathy Ireland Home by Martin Furniture, and Stanley Furniture.
Salt Creek opened its first furniture showroom in Scottsdale in 1997; and in 2007 opened a second location in Tempe.
