Gift for Life will honor David Moses and Marcia Miller during Gift for Life's 19th Annual Party for Life.
The event is set for Jan. 30 in New York City during the New York International Gift Fair. Gift for life is the charitable organization for the gift, stationery and home decor industries.
David Moses will receive the Bert Tonkin Gift of Giving Award, which recognizes philanthropic industry endeavors and sustained selfless efforts for industry benefit. The award is named for industry benefactor Bert Tonkin, president of Western Exhibitors.
Marcia Miller will receive the Trailblazer Award, which recognizes an industry pioneer for outstanding achievement and significant contributions, as well as creative products and ideas with lasting impact.
For more than 30 years, David Moses has been leader in the gift industry. David was founder and owner of the highly successful New York-based sales rep agency, The Lifelines Group. David joined OneCoast in 1998, and was president from 2001 through 2006. In 2007, David founded and led industry consulting firm Next Step Strategies. And in 2008, David became Chief Executive Officer of Lazy Susan USA, one of Next Step's clients. David is a board member of Gift For Life and has served multiple terms as member of the advisory council for The NY International Gift Fair.
Marcia Miller, currently president of Mud Pie LLC, has blazed an entrepreneurial trail since the 1980's. As a gift and housewares sales representative, Marcia gained important insight into the gift market. She soon recognized segments that were not being adequately supplied with products. After exploring product development, she launched a 10 piece line of Mud Pie gift and garden-themed products in 1987. Today, the company offers more than 4000 items at any given time. Items are both functional and decorative, highly detailed and offer superior quality. Under Marcias leadership, Mud Pie has matured into a major force within the gift industry.
"These special honorees combine significant business success with a passionate mission to help others, said Jenny Hammons, chair of the Gift for Life board. We recognize their tireless energy and their generosity."
