The National Home Furnishings Assocation and BrandSource have formed an alliance under which BrandSource will provide NHFA members and its affiliates with inventory financing services.
The financing service will come through BrandSource Financial, the wholly owned wholesale finance company.
BrandSource Financial will provide central billing services for retailers purchasing products from a list of approved home furnishing manufacturers. Under the program, manufacturers will be guaranteed payment in a designated timeframe with extended repayment terms or "early-pay" discount options offered to NHFA members.
"This is a terrific opportunity for all NHFA members and affiliates, and it's mutually beneficial to both vendors and retailers," said Steve DeHaan, executive vice president, NHFA. "Even though we're in the early stages of implementation, feedback from the retail community has been overwhelmingly positive."
NHFA affiliates, which include the Western Home Furnishings Association, Southeastern Home Furnishings Association, and Southern Home Furnishings Association, will also be able to take advantage of the programs that BrandSource Financial has to offer.
"We're very pleased to offer BrandSource Financial to NHFA members and provide them with highly competitive inventory financing services," said Bob Lawrence, CEO of BrandSource. "This is a phenomenal opportunity and we encourage NHFA members and their affiliates to take full advantage of what BrandSource Financial has to offer."

Mattress vendor Therapedic will showcase cutting edge, active-lifestyle point-of-purchase materials the Oct. 13-18 High Point Furniture Market.
The merchandising for the new Agility Collection highlights its flexible and responsive sleep surface, demonstrating its effectiveness for those who need to rest and repair their bodies after a tough workout. Therapedic will show the Agility collection and POP solutions in showroom located in IHFC, space M-607 of the International Home Furnishings Center.
Therapedic has developed three key banners as part of its new display. The first shows a woman jogging and explains how Agilitys components support each part of her body with clear notations, such as Memory gel foam cushions the shoulders and Mini-micro coils support legs and feet. A second banner showcases a woman on the beach in a yoga pose with the headline fit for your body, while a third depicts a mattress cut-away to explain each of the mattresses seven layers.
For athletes, outdoorsmen and active people who push their bodies to the limit, we know getting a proper nights sleep is crucial, because thats the time when our bodies repair themselves. Its part of living a healthy lifestyle, said Princeton, N.J.-based Therapedic president and CEO Gerry Borreggine. "In marketing Agility, we wanted to help retailers reach that demographic by easily showcasing there is a difference when selecting a mattress, and active consumers need a product like ours that is cooling, supportive, resilient and contours the body."
The Agility Collection is made with thousands of micro-pocket springs encased in a three-way stretch fabric to give the mattress a quick response surface feel and allows it to be highly resistant to body impressions and sagging. Preserve VG, the first bio-based viscoelastic gel foam on the market, is swirled into the foam compound, to add comfort and cooling performance to the line. Each mattress in the four-model series features a combination core, which includes a mix of high-density foam, Preserve VG and thousands of pocketed micro-coils, offering unmatched comfort and support.
The Agilitys four models, the Dash, the Tango, the Freestyle, and the Crossover, comprise the national line and range in retail pricing from $1,299 to $2,499 in queen.

Luxury mattress brand Pure LatexBliss will double its pillow offerings at High Point Furniture Market with ActiveFusion Climate Control pillows.
The new collection uses cutting edge material to cool a warm sleeper and warm a cool sleeper in the same bed, helping two partners sleep at their optimal body temperatures. The company will offer a new customizable pillow display concept to be used at retail.
Pillows are just as important as mattresses when trying to achieve a great nights sleep. Since retailer and consumer response to our beds with ActiveFusion technology has been extremely positive, we felt it was necessary to add this incredible feature to our line of pillows, said Atlanta-based Pure LatexBliss President Kurt Ling. Incorporating this technology into our pillows ensures consumers can achieve a comfortable, cool or warm sleep experience from head to toe.
The new collection is made exclusively from Natural Talalay Latex with ActiveFusion Climate Control phase change technology and utilizes both Fast and Slow response options.
