Trex Launches Online Outdoor Store

By Home Furnishings Business in Casual Furniture on December 10, 2010

Decking and railing manufacturer Trex Co. has launched outdoor furniture e-commerce site TrexFurniture.com to showcase its Trex Outdoor Furniture collection.

"The ease of navigation on the new site combined with stunning outdoor living vignettes and a depth of product detail make it an exceptional resource for consumers shopping online for durable, low-maintenance outdoor furniture," said Adam Zambanini, director of marketing for Trex, Winchester, Va. "The site also is a convenient way for potential retail partners to become acquainted with the product benefits and style options of the collection."

In addition to online sales and product information, TrexFurniture.com offers a range of resources that make it possible to connect with the brand beyond the Web including a dealer locator to find the nearest location; an e-newsletter to receive information on new Trex products and outdoor living tips; Twitter and Facebook; and a link for interested potential retail partners.

"Many consumers are now turning to the web to research products before they make any purchase--either in-store or online," said Chad Yordy, marketing director for Poly-Wood, the manufacturer and distributor of the Trex Outdoor Furniture collection. "Our goal was to develop a dynamic, informative destination that would provide potential customers all of the resources and assurance they need to feel confident in their buying decision. By clearly outlining product benefits and building an extensive Q&A section, we've been able to simulate online the hands-on, expert assistance that our customers receive at our physical retail locations."
