Gift and accessories vendor Creative Co-Op will return to High Point Furniture Market after a five-year hiatus for the April 2-7 Spring show.
The company will exhibit in the Suites at Market Square, space M-2003. Creative Co-Op designs, imports, and distributes accent furniture, accent lighting, wall decor, table top accessories and seasonal categories for retailers around the world. The company was founded in 2001 and has extensive experience in offshore sourcing focused on design, workmanship, finishing and timely delivery.
"We are very excited to return to High Point Market where we will bring our passion for product, passion for quality, and passion for customer success to the April 2011 Market," said Lee Wang, executive vice president for Creative Co-Op. "We've been fortunate to have experienced tremendous growth over the last several years, and expect High Point to contribute to our further growth in the years to come."

Jim Ricci has joined solid wood furniture manufacturer Thos. Moser as senior vice president of marketing and sales.
Ricci will oversee marketing, sales and customer service and be responsible for establishing strategies to expand business opportunities while maintaining the New Gloucester, Maine, company's leadership in the marketplace.
Prior to joining Thos. Moser, Ricci was vice president of U.S. marketing and then vice president and director of global marketing at Swarovski, where he established global strategic direction for the company's $250 million giftware business. He also has served as vice president of North American marketing for the Gillette Company and director of global marketing for the Waterman brand, which is based in Nantes, France.
"We are excited to have Jim Ricci join our team at this juncture in the company's history," said company founder Tom Moser. "We are proud to have held steady during the recent economic downturn, and looking forward to more good news in 2011. Jim's background makes him uniquely qualified to lead a number of exciting initiatives we have planned."

Visual Comfort & Co. to produce a line of lighting.
The agreement begins a partnership to produce lighting under both the Ralph Lauren Home and Lauren Home brands. This new affiliation will strengthen and grow the Ralph Lauren Home business in markets throughout North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and South America.

Consumers spent more money on gas, clothes, hobby items and online goods to boost U.S. retail sales in November for the fifth straight month, government data showed Tuesday. Consumers cut back on purchases of autos, home furnishings and electronic goods and appliances. Furniture sales dropped 0.5 percent in the month.
