Clinton Speaks on Debt, Economy

Former President Bill Clinton declared himself on Tuesday night to be a fiscal conservative in favor of reducing the national debt but doing it with a political balance that characterized his eight years in office.

Speaking to about 10,000 furniture industry representatives assembled for the World Market Center's semi annual market, Clinton sidestepped an endorsement or condemnation of the debt reduction legislation signed by President Barack Obama hours earlier.

Furniture Retailer Jumps to Death at Vegas Hotel

An Arkansas furniture retailer jumped to his death from a Las Vegas hotel the week before the Las Vegas Market opened.

The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified an Arkansas businessman who jumped to his death July 25 from a balcony at the Cosmopolitan. Paul Bynum Jr., 54, died from multiple blunt force injuries, the coroner said. His death was ruled a suicide.

Comfort Furniture Clients Look for Way Out

Daley said she brought $100,000 annually in business to Comfort Furniture over the last 10 years and had, until recently, been pleased with the results. Today she is angry. Eight clients are out $12,000 in deposits made on furniture orders placed March 1, but never delivered by Comfort Furniture. The store has since filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, claiming more than $1.7 million in liabilities
