Wright of Thomasville Likes "Wright Assist"

By Home Furnishings Business in Las Vegas on January 25, 2012 Home furnishings marketing services and support specialist Wright of Thomasville will again offer its Wright Assist program at Las Vegas Furniture Market.

Wright Assist is an at-market concierge service to help clients properly prepare and install signage and other last-minute point-of-purchase materials. As a part of its service offering at market, the company also will have an on-site designer with the tools to help clients work collaboratively with their customers to create specialized campaigns in real time.

Wright will operate the center at World Market Center, space B-1062, Thursday through the close of the market on Feb. 3, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and after hours by special appointment.

In addition to the on-site designer, staffers will be available to assist clients install signs, point-of-purchase materials, receive deliveries, provide extra pillows or shams, and press or clean fabrics if needed.

"We experienced incredible success with the Wright Assist program last summer where we were able to help many exhibitors with last-minute needs for the show," said Wright President and CEO Greg Wright. "Since the components we provide in the marketing communications arena are an integral piece of our clients' marketing plan, we felt we needed to have a team on-hand again to help handle a number of common emergency needs clients typically face on-site at shows."

Robert Bennett was watching a tour of Michael Jackson's rented mansion on the "Today" show in November when he first spotted the Victorian Revival-style armoire.

The executive vice president for Grand Home Furnishings never thought the prized piece, which was up for auction, was within reach.

"It was the signature piece of the auction, so I didn't think it'd be attainable," Bennett said.

Ethan Allen Reports Mixed Earnings in 2Q

Tempur-Pedic 4Q Net Income up 22%

The results beat expectations and sent shares higher in aftermarket trading.

The company also said Tuesday that it authorized a $250 million share buyback program and Tempur-Pedic set its 2012 outlook above analyst expectations.

Shares of the company rose $2.14, or 3.4 percent, to $64.39 in aftermarket trading after the company reported its results. During regular trading, they climbed $1.76, or 3 percent, and closed at $62.25.

Facebook, Blog Key Wholesale Furniture Brokers Super Bowl Promotion

Wholesale Furniture Brokers has announced its Facebook and blog Super Bowl XLVI Recliner Giveaways. The giveaways are open to both U.S. and Canadian contestants.

"This is our fifth annual Super Bowl recliner giveaway," said Matt Holmes, Indianapolis-based Wholesale Furniture Brokers' marketing manager. "We're giving away two leather recliners and a $250 gift certificate this year. It's going to be exciting to find out who's going to win the Super Bowl and our giveaways."

Participants of the Facebook giveaway need to 'Like' Wholesale Furniture Brokers' Facebook page and post a prediction of Super Bowl XLVI's final score. The winner will have predicted a score closest to the actual final score. The prize for winning the Facebook giveaway is a vintage 7292 series leatherette recliner by Mac Motion Chairs. The participant with the most referrals also will win a $250 Wholesale Furniture Brokers' gift certificate.

The blog giveaway requires participants to write a blog post reviewing a recliner found on Wholesale Furniture Brokers' sites and link to the recliner and recliner chairs category where it was found. Participants need to post a comment on the official blog giveaway post linking to their entry post. An Alto REC-516 series leather recliner by Stanley Chair will be given away to the winner of the blog giveaway.

Contestants can enter both giveaways separately. The deadline for entries of both giveaways is Feb. 5 at Super Bowl kickoff time. The winners of the Super Bowl XLVI Recliner Giveaways will be announced Feb. 6.
