Kural, a 42-year-old native of Turkey who came to the United States 22 years ago as a college student, owns and operates Pasha Home Fashions. His company has maintained a showroom on S. Main Street at the High Point Market for the past two years and now is expanding with an upholstered furnishings production facility in the southwestern part of the city.

Stanley Furniture Co. is looking at closing its Stanleytown, Va., office and consolidating the operation with the company's office and showroom in High Point, N.C.
The Stanleytown office has 45 employees. Some would be offered jobs in High Point if the offices are consolidated.

The latest from The Ticker blog Stanley Furniture Co. is looking at closing its Stanleytown office and consolidating the operation with the company's office and showroom in High Point, N.C. The Stanleytown office has 45 employees. Some would be offered jobs in High Point if the offices are consolidated. Stanley President Glenn Prillaman said the company is seeking funding for the proposed consolidation from sources, including the state of North Carolina. If the funding is approved, he said the consolidation likely would happen in January.
