Michigan retailer Art Van Furniture has caught Tiger series with as the hometown team makes its appearance in the World Series.
Four of the Art Van stores will have in-store drawings to give away a combined 40 tickets to game four of the series between the Detroit Tigers and the San Francisco Giants. The game will take place Sunday at Comerica Park.
Art Van Furniture stores in Novi, Mich.; Lakeside, Mich.; Warren, Mich.; and Taylor, Mich., are participating in the in-store drawings. Participants must be present to win. Each store will give away 10 tickets. The drawings will be held inside the stores Saturday, at 12 p.m.
"We love Detroit and we're just so incredibly proud of our Tigers," said Art Van Elslander, Art Van Furniture founder and chairman. "What better way to take part in all the excitement and pride for our city than to give our guests the opportunity to have what could be a once-in-a-life time experience."
No purchase is necessary, but guests should arrive early to register for the drawing.

Kim DiNonno has joined Aico's merchandising team as a the director of design development, a new position for the company.
"The rapid growth of soft lines and other product divisions has prompted the need to further expand our product development and merchandising team with a focus on unique styling and product execution," said Martin Ploy, president of Aico. "Kim brings a deep passion for furniture and design. Her sense of style and keen understanding of home fashion trends will harmonize beautifully with Michael's vision and distinctive flair."
DiNonno joined the company with more than 20 years of experience in home furnishings, working most recently in design and merchandising for RC Furniture, where she was responsible for everything from fabric frame application to sourcing. In the process, she developed relationships with many retailers, as well as fabric suppliers domestically and abroad.
Previous experience included director of catalog merchandising at Furnitureland South and interior designer for Ladlows Fine Furniture.
"We are very fortunate to have someone with Kim's great enthusiasm, knowledge and experience join the Aico team," said Michael Amini, Aico chairman and CEO. "We are very excited for the new dynamic she brings to our talented and hard-working team."

The boards posted include Area Rug Expertise; High Point Market October 2012; Favorite Places & Spaces; and Design Inspiration. The company's pins offer consumers, designers, and retailers the opportunity to see not only the products the company offers, but also recent news in the home décor industry, and designs posted by designers or media publications.
