QuantiSense, an Atlanta-based provider of retail analytics and decision orchestration solutions, has partnered with Teradata Corp. (NYSE: TDC).
As a result of this partnership and certified integration, retailers will benefit from the rapid and focused implementation of the QuantiSense Decision Orchestration Platform which fits seamlessly into Teradatas scalable, enterprise-wide retail solution.
The QuantiSense Decision Orchestration Platform version 6 has been tested and certified to work with all currently supported versions of the Teradata Database. The QuantiSense solution includes executive dashboards and personalized Retail ScorebooksTM designed to deliver intuitive business graphics--via desktop or mobile access--that empower users to quickly identify trends and highlight problems, accelerating the decision-making process. Then Retail Playbooks ensure consistent use of best practices for team members ranging from merchandising executives, buyers, allocators and planners to store operations.
Retailers such as The Gap, Hudsons Bay and Hallmark Cards are already using the combined QuantiSense and Teradata solutions, which are designed to boost sales and operating margins, avoid stockouts, improve inventory productivity and postpone the need for markdowns.
The Teradata Retail Logical Data Model also provides a foundation for other solutions including the Aprimo Relationship Management and Demand Chain Management applications. Furniture retailer Stoney Creek Furniture has teamed with New Hope Community Bikes, a non-profit organization that offers dependable bicycles at affordable prices.
To get people off the sofa, Stoney Creek Furniture, Stoney Creek, Ontario, collected unwanted used bikes to be donated to Hamilton-based New Hope. Customers who brought in a used bike received a $50 Stoney Creek Furniture Gift Card.
We wanted to give back to the community. It was summer and we were thinking bikes, and we connected with New Hope," said Stoney Creek Furniture Vice President Jim Fee. "Our customers came in and dropped off a bike--and in return they received a $50 Stoney Creek Furniture Gift Card. Then we passed along the bikes to New Hope to refurbish.
We were really excited to get some new bikes," said Andrew Hibma of New Hope Community Bikes. "This has been a great partnership; a big success.
Stoney Creek Furniture received more than 100 bikes during the promotion. Thats 100 people--children, adults and commuters--who will have access to dependable means of transportation and a way to improve their fitness.
