Upholstered furniture vendor Lazar went live on a new Web site this past weekend.
The site boasts a more interactive element and has links to the Lazar Facebook Page, Twitter and Pinterest.
Our new site is designed to be more consumer friendly, while still maintaining the benefits our dealers have come to enjoy," said Lazar President Rob Luce. In the coming months we will be adding a number of other features to the website that will tie back to the launch of our iPad application that is currently under construction.
The Web site is completely redone and has a new look and feel. Lazar has production facilities in Los Angeles, Calif.; and Siler City, N.C.

Accent furniture vendor Stein World has named Jim Peltier vice president of strategic accounts and direct imports.
An industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in the furniture industry, both in manufacturing and in retail, Peltier most recently was a territory manager with Lane Furniture.

ShopperTrak, a leading counter of retail foot traffic, has acquired ReTel Technologies, a provider of hybrid video auditing solutions and advanced shopper analysis.
ShopperTrak will integrate ReTel's technology with its Managed Service to deliver shopper insights to retailers. Once available with ShopperTrak's core offerings, the new capabilities will provide retailers with rapid access to customer demographics, queue analysis, speed-of-service and sales process effectiveness.
"ReTel's technology serves as an ideal complement to our industry-leading people counting service," said ShopperTrak Chief Marketing Officer Ed Marcheselli. "In addition to our existing suite of retail traffic analytics, ShopperTrak will be offering insight into store performance factors that directly affect both the customers experience and the retailers revenue."
ReTel developed technology that securely audits videos to provide advanced reports for retailers. When combined with ShopperTraks Managed Service, the new audits help retailers compare sales associate behavior and improve the customer experience.
"ShopperTrak's enhanced Managed Service offering will provide retailers comprehensive data and analysis for all areas of a retail setting, whether at the door or a space within," said ReTel CEO George Aspland. The Oct. 13-18 Interior Lifestyle China trade show in Shanghai drew a record number of exhibitors and visitors, according to organizers.
The show, run by Messe Frankfurt Shanghai, 248 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, including Brazil, China, Denmark, Greece, Iran, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom, together with pavilions from Germany, France, Italy, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
This year we attracted 10 percent more exhibitors than last year, and the total visitor figure was 16,725 from 35 countries and regions," said Messe Frankfurt Shanghai General Manager Evan Sha. "Of these there were 15,591 trade visitors, and this was a substantial 18 per cent increase compared to the 2011 show. The shows popularity is unmatched with local and international brand exhibitors and quality buyers. All regard our show as the only professional business platform for mid-to-high end lifestyle brands in China.
Several exhibitors were recognized in fifth annual Home Style Awards:
* Best Look: BK Cookware for Wokarang; and WMF for WMF Carafe.
* Best Practical Use: Rosenthal for Nendoo/Solists; and Laurastar for Laurastar Garment Care Solution.
* Best Green Style: Brabantia for the WallFix Wall-Mounted Dryer; and Goodgoods for the Water-Saving and Big Pressure Multifunctional Water System.
During the show, visitors were also able to enjoy various showcases such as Shine, Miji Art Kitchen, Outdoor Life Concept House, Store of Happiness, 24-hour Life and the Secret of the President.
Due to the continued expansion of Interior Lifestyle China, the 2013 show will be held on new dates, Sept. 25-27; and at a new venue, the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
