High Point Market Is Expo Excite Awards Finalist

By Home Furnishings Business in High Point on May 8, 2013

High Point Furniture Market is a finalist for two Expo Excite Awards.

The Market is in the running for Best Web Site, and for Best Marketing Collateral for the Fall 2012 Fashion Focus campaign. The Excite Awards celebrate excellence and innovation in trade shows and events and are presented by Expo, a multichannel brand serving the trade show industry, providing insight, information and inspiration for show organizers. Last year, the High Point Market won the EXCITE Award for Social Media, beating out such top-shelf shows as CES and Comic-Con.

€œWe are thrilled to receive this recognition for the High Point Market,€ said Cheminne Taylor-Smith, vice president of marketing for the High Point Market Authority. €œThe new Web design, launched last summer, has provided amazing new tools and information that helps us connect exhibitors and buyers for this huge trade show. And the Fashion Focus campaign has been very well received, attracting a lot of attention and buzz for the High Point Market. We are thrilled to share this honor with our talented agency Emisare.€

The High Point Market Web site that launched in July 2012 made it easier for market-goers to create their schedule right on the Web site, using social media log-ins such as Facebook and Twitter accounts. For exhibitors, the new site offered upgrades and enhancements to help them grab the attention of buyers and designers. Each company that shows at Market can gain Facebook €œlikes€ and Twitter followers directly from its profile page on the site--High Point Market is one of the first trade shows in the country to feature that on its site. A new app also will be launched for Market this summer.

The Fashion Focus campaign was developed to highlight the link between fashion design and home design, and to showcase the High Point Market€™s role as the most exciting event in home furnishings.

Campaigns developed by Emisare in collaboration with the High Point Market have won awards in the past as well. Recent awards include a 2011 Gold Addy Award for the Market€™s campaign, an award sponsored by the American Advertising Federation to recognize excellence in marketing; a 2009 silver Addy for Mixed/Multiple Media; and a 2009 International Association of Exhibitions and Events Gold Award.

Reverie to Sail Again with Celebrity Cruises

By Home Furnishings Business in Bedding on May 8, 2013

Bedding vendor Reverie will outfit Celebrity Cruises' ship Constellation with customizable mattresses for every suite and stateroom.

The ship re-launches this month. Reverie's Celebrity eXhale bedding already sails on four of the company€™s 11 ships.

Celebrity Constellation€™s more than 2,000 passengers will sleep on Reverie€™s 10-inch Dream mattress in suites; and the 8-inch Dream Lite mattress in staterooms.

€œSleepless nights on a less-than-comfortable mattress are a common vacation complaint, understandable when the goal of getting away is to feel relaxed, rejuvenated and well-rested,€ said Reverie President and CEO Martin Rawls-Meehan. €œOur partnership with Celebrity Cruises tackles this problem head-on by offering guests luxury mattresses they can easily adjust and customize to meet their specific needs. Together, we€™re investing in a good night€™s sleep for guests, in order to help them enjoy their cruise experience even more.€

Celebrity guests staying in a suite will experience butler service that includes a personalized introduction to the customizable aspects of eXhale bedding. In suites and staterooms alike, guests will have access to in-room brochures offering details about the bedding. These brochures also include details about a program that invites those onboard to enjoy the eXhale experience every night by purchasing a Reverie Sleep System for their own home. A dedicated Web site for eXhale bedding offers Celebrity guests the opportunity to purchase mattresses and adjustable foundations online with a 101-night, risk-free trial.

€œThis partnership allows us to reach potential customers in an unconventional way by offering them the ultimate rest-test," Rawls-Meehan said. "Cruise guests will have anywhere from three days to two weeks to try out our Dream or Dream Lite mattresses and truly experience the restfulness that comes with a quality mattress. That€™s a pre-purchase experience that simply can€™t be matched.€

In honor of the Celebrity Constellation relaunch, Reverie will offer a special promotion on its Celebrity eXhale bedding. Those cruisers who purchase a Reverie Dream mattress between May 1 and July 1 will receive a free Deluxe adjustable foundation.

A schedule is in place to outfit each of Celebrity€™s remaining ships with eXhale bedding.
