Luxury sleep systems manufacturer Hollandia International will show for the first time at High Point Furniture Market Oct 16-21.
Israel-based Hollandia will show in the Therapedic showroom--Plaza Suites, space 1-501--to promote its new partnership with Therapedic. The companies will unveil the first designs from the Hollandia Collection for Therapedic since announcing their relationship earlier this year.
"We are very happy that our partnership with Therapedic has allowed us to bring our products to High Point Market for the first time," said Hollandia Interational CEO Avi Barssessat. "This is an important market to tap into and one that we have been looking at for some time. We look forward to growing our relationship and to expanding our businesses together."
The companies announced their joint venture this year and began developing products which leverage Hollandia innovation to be sold throughout the world. Hollandia will open Therapedic stores in cities in Israel in the next year, following Therapedic's successful international operations model to grow the Therapedic brand in Israel.
Both companies will offer the Hollandia Collection for Therapedic in addition to continuing the traditional sales of its products.
"We are excited to be bringing a fresh, new offering to Therapedic customers," said Gerry Borreggine, Therapedic president and CEO. "Hollandia is well known for developing technologies that combine with world-class comfort to create sophisticated, stand out products. We look forward to presenting a range of opportunities to retailers looking to attract a new type of customer to the Therapedic brand."
Making its High Point Market debut is the iCon, designed to work with Apples iPad; the Dual Tech 3D mattress; and new Trio bed base, the first foundation to adjust the head and feet lower than the flat position to arch and stretch the back.
The iCon Bed features an upholstered headboard with fully enclosed speakers, a 250 watt amplifier and docking stations for two iPads. It is available in more than 200 fashionable colors and fabrics.

Nowell's Contemporary Furniture marked its 105th anniversary with a contest to find the oldest documented sales receipt.
The store had possession of a sale document from 1936, but it was for a purchase the Cary, N.C., store itself had made.
"I was thrilled by the number of entries we received for our "oldest receipt" contest," said Nowell's owner Jerry Nowell. "Area residents have been shopping with us for 105 years, but we weren't sure if there was any correlation between good taste in furniture and meticulous record-keeping."
The meticulous record keeper turned out to be Mary Edeburn, of Durham, who had the original receipt for a sofa purchased in 1979.
"This is an added bonus for me," Edeburn said. This has proven to my husband Judd that my pack rat tendencies can actually pay off. It took 39 years, but I'm vindicated at last--and that's priceless."
Jerry Nowell noted that the grand prize, a brand new iPad, would have puzzled his Grandfather, and business founder William McKee Nowell, and that it would have been no surprise to find that Edeburn still uses the more-than-three-decade old sofa on a daily basis.
"Now, save those receipts," said Nowell. "We expect the grand prize will only get grander as the years go by."
Edeburn, a certified Activity Director, says she plans to use the iPad for her visits with area nursing home residents who have difficulty communicating due to illness or injury.
The store was founded in Raleigh, and moved to Cary in 1957.

Iron furnishings manufacturer Stone County Ironworks is returning to High Point Furniture Market.
SCI has been selected to exhibit in the SALON "juried" section of Suites at Market Square.
"We will show several new designs and also demonstrate the art of blacksmithing in a rustic Kiosk, which is fashioned after an old village smithy shop, located near the entrance to the Suites at Market Square," said Corky Baker, president of Stone County Ironworks.
All week during the High Point Market a Stone County Ironworks' master blacksmith will ring the anvil and show how beautiful hand-forged product is made in the hills of the Ozark Mountains.
According to Corky, "The demonstration is sure to be interesting and informative, and always draws a crowd, and it will be a wonderful reminder of a time when life was simple and the pace was a little slower," Baker said. "Those who stop by might be fortunate enough to get a hand-forged reminder of how things used to be ... and how they still are, at America's Blacksmith Shop."
Stone County Ironworks has more than 40,000 different product possibilities in its published portfolio , and the company operates a thriving custom business where one-of-a-kind lighting, seating, tables, home décor and fireplace items are designed and made for clients across North America.
SALON is an exclusive "juried" selection of the best style and design-driven home furnishings in the marketplace. Selection requires the approval of a panel of experts including retailers, designers, and national style editors. Of the hundreds of companies exhibiting at High Point, Stone County Ironworks is one of 40 or so companies selected for SALON, and will highlight several new looks that are receiving high marks for design, trend and innovation.
