The National Design Academy (NDA) now offers a distance learning Master of Arts Degree in Interior Design.
The course, validated by Staffordshire University, is studied part-time, online via their bespoke Virtual Learning Studio (VLS). PACE invites you to put the "chair" back in "Chair City."
People Achieving Community Enhancement, a local organization of volunteers continues the city of Thomasville's facelift with projects that seek to bring a fresh look to the downtown area.
Applications for a citywide chair design contest are now being accepted by Chair City Art, a committee of PACE.
"In 10 or 15 years, we hope to be known as Chair City again, this time because of the actual chairs and not because of the furniture industry," said Ben Watford, a member of the PACE board of directors.

Outdoor furniture specialist Kudos Global has launched a competition to design its next daybed as it plans to grow its business through a design-driven approach.
In partnership with Hotelier, the company is inviting entries from the next big hotel design star to design a daybed for a five-star hotel; the three shortlisted designs will be made into real-life prototypes and displayed at this year's Hotelier Middle East Awards (30 October 2013 at Dubai's JW Marriott Marquis hotel) where the winner will be decided by 600 top hoteliers.
