Bespoke interior design firm Allen and James Designs has announced the recent opening of Fiddle Figs, the design firm’s in-house plant boutique under the supervision of Master Gardner, Pam Rogers. Located within Allen and James Designs’ retail operation in downtown High Point, NC, Fiddle Figs offers annual and perennial plants as well as custom container plantings for indoors or out. The boutique’s services also include landscape and gardening consultation and ongoing landscape management.

Sherwin-Williams has announced that its Student Design Challenge (SDC) is back for 2020. The professional competition celebrates excellence in interior design by students in both residential and commercial categories. The SDC will open for entries from February 1 through March 15, 2020.

New York’s historic Plaza Hotel received a makeover recently with the help of modern interiors magazine Elle Décor and Universal Furniture. Elle Décor called on A-list designer Sasha Bikoff to temporarily transform the hotel’s legendary Rose Club into the Elle Décor Café, a project that runs through March 31, 2020.
