The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has announced 11 inductees chosen to enter the ASID College of Fellows in 2019. The Society’s highest honor, fellowship is awarded to less than 1 percent of all ASID members and includes individuals who have made distinguished contributions to their profession, have engaged with the ASID community, and have made a notable impact on the design industry at large.

Effective Friday, May 10th, a 25% tariff was placed on furniture products imported from China into the United States. The action will result in price increases for the vast majority of the casual furnishings market. However, retailers of luxury casual furniture resource Castelle, who manufactures entirely in Costa Rica, will see no increase in Castelle product since these goods are not subject to the tariffs.
