HFB Announces Last Call for Forty Under 40

Home Furnishings Business Magazine has announced its “last call” for nominations for the annual Forty Under 40 Awards. This year’s awards are once again sponsored by Storis, a leading provider of Unified Commerce solutions for the furniture industry. The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, May 19 at midnight.

The prestigious list, which will be published in the magazine’s July/August issue, features extraordinary young professionals in the home furnishings industry who already have made significant accomplishments in their businesses and the communities where they do business.

“The Home Furnishings Business Forty Under 40 list has emerged as the way our industry discovers and celebrates the next generation of movers and shakers,” said Bob George, editor in chief and publisher of Home Furnishings Business. “These under 40s are the team players that think smart, get good intel, have impressive track records, and always seem to be elevating their brands to new heights. They are the best young talent in the industry. If you know someone like this, and I’m sure you do, give them the credit they deserve and the opportunity to join the ranks of past Forty Under 40s."

This year’s theme is “A Clear Vision for 2020: The Future in Focus”.

“Shining a light on the rising talent in our industry is more pertinent than ever, especially as the vision for 2020 has shifted its course. As digital and tech-centered initiatives rise in importance, the future leaders in our industry will be paving the path for the industry’s future as a whole. We are proud to continue to support HFB’s Forty Under 40 Program. The talented individuals it has showcased over the years is always impressive,” stated Doug Culmone, Storis president and COO.

To be considered for the honor, nominees must meet the following general criteria:

§  Over age 21 and under 40 by Dec. 31, 2020

§  A leader within his or her organization

§  Have significant career achievements

§  Have community involvement outside his or her regular job

The name of the person submitting the nomination is always kept confidential, and self-nominations will be accepted. However, duplicate nominations will not improve a candidate’s chances of being selected. The decision is based solely on the information provided on the nomination form. Detailed information is needed so the nominee can be given full consideration. If selected, honorees will be required to provide a color photo and complete a brief questionnaire about their career and interests for inclusion in the Forty Under 40 special section of Home Furnishings Business magazine as well as as slideshow on its website. Honorees are lauded at a private ceremony, which takes place during the High Point Market.
