Belfort Furniture Sponsors Annual YMCA Golf Tournament

Belfort Furniture teamed up with YMCA Loudoun County as the corporate sponsor for the 26th Annual Golf Classic.

This was Belfort’s 14th year sponsoring the event. The tournament was held June 7 at the Loudoun Golf and Country Club in Purcellville, Va.

Attracting more than 130 golfers this year, the YMCA set a new record and raised more than $90,000 to support its “Caring for Community” initiative. The funds raised will provide a two-week summer camp scholarship for more than 400 underprivileged children in Loudoun County. In addition, the funds will support families in need of quality after-school programs.

Since Belfort Furniture became the corporate sponsor in 2005, they have helped to raise more than $853,000 for the YMCA Loudoun County.

“Words cannot express our gratitude to Mike and Kristi Huber and their business partners for their continued support of the YMCA Loudoun County. Their generous efforts positively impact the lives of so many families in our community,” said Kasia Bochenek, business director, YMCA Loudoun County.

“We couldn’t do what we do without you! Your contribution will greatly help to make this summer so very memorable for many Y kids and their families,” she added.

“My family and I are very proud to give back to the YMCA to support their initiatives to build strong and stable families. We believe that supporting hardworking parents and their children benefits all in our community,” said Michael Huber, CEO of Belfort Furniture. “Year after year, our business partners, vendors, and suppliers come from all over the county and generously support this event and are essential to its success.”

The event kicked off with a pre-golf party hosted by Kristi and Michael Huber at Stone Tower Winery in Leesburg, Va. More than 200 furniture industry partners and Loudoun businesses attended the casual evening gathering amidst the Bull Run Mountains.
