Art Van Furniture Unveils Banner Honoring Founder

Art Van Furniture paid tribute to the company’s late founder and chairman, Art Van Elslander, by unveiling a 50-foot by 50-foot banner in his honor at its warehouse and distribution center in Warren, Mich.
The celebratory event was attended by approximately 150 Art Van executives and team members. Kim Yost, president and CEO of the retailer, addressed the audience before the banner was unveiled.
The banner features an image of Van Elslander with the words, “Thank you Mr. Van 1930-2018.” It will be displayed indefinitely and visible to the community.
Van Elslander died on Feb.12 at the age of 87.
