HFB Opens Nominations for Forty Under 40 Awards

The prestigious list, which will be published in the magazine’s July issue, features extraordinary young professionals in the home furnishings industry who already have made significant accomplishments in their businesses and the communities where they do business.

“We received a record number of nominations last year, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we get even more in 2018,” said Bob George, editor and publisher of Home Furnishings Business. “I’m always encouraged by the many talented young people who work in our industry.”

The deadline is midnight, May 18. Nomination forms are available here.

To be considered, nominees must meet the following general criteria:

• Over age 21 and under 40 by Dec. 31, 2018
• A leader within his or her organization
• Have significant career achievements
• Have substantial community involvement outside his or her regular job

The name of the person submitting the nomination will be kept confidential, and self-nominations will be accepted. However, duplicate nominations will not improve a candidate’s chances of being selected.

The decision is based solely on the information provided on the nomination form, so please provide detailed information so the nominee can be given full consideration. And please do not submit hyperlinks to a nominee’s work credentials or other accomplishments.

If selected, honorees will be required to provide a color photo and complete a brief questionnaire about their career and interests for inclusion in the Forty Under 40 special section of Home Furnishings Business magazine and its website.
