Hall of Fame Issues Final Call for Tickets

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, who has held senior military and diplomatic positions under four U.S. presidents, will deliver the keynote address. Celebrity presenters include Rachael Ray, Jane Seymour, Kathy Ireland and Donny Osmond, and The 5th Dimension will provide entertainment.
“The event has, without a doubt, become the industry’s most prestigious gathering with plenty of networking opportunities including the cocktail party before and the after party at the conclusion of the induction celebration,” said Bob Maricich, president of the Foundation board of directors. “We’re looking forward to a night of inspiration and entertainment, as the top leaders in all segments of home furnishings gather to honor their peers with the industry’s most coveted recognition, induction into the Hall of Fame.”
This year’s inductees are the late Donald H. Flanders, Sr., founder and chairman of Lloyd Flanders; the late Vladimir Kagan, contemporary furniture designer; Samuel Kuo, co-founder and chairman of Samson Holding Ltd.; and Bernard D. Moray, chairman of Gorman’s Home Furnishings & Interior Design.
“As our inaugural keynote speaker, Gen. Powell epitomizes our 2017 Hall of Fame Foundation campaign theme: Aspire to Lead,” Maricich said. “His life is a testament to the value of leadership, and we believe his message will inspire each of us to greater leadership. But, most importantly, we’re celebrating four Hall of Fame inductees who, through their accomplishments and service, have helped build and define our industry.”
A cocktail reception will kick off the event at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The After Party will begin at 9:15 p.m.
