Gold Bond Adds Jerry Colpitts as Territory Manager

Independent, family-owned Gold Bond Mattress has named retail and bedding industry veteran Jerry Colpitts as territory manager responsible for the company’s sales in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
Colpitts brings with him 40 years of experience in the furniture retail business, including the ownership of Slumberrest/Bedrooms, a three-location sleep shop that had stores in Peabody and Watertown, Mass.
Colpitts succeeds long-time sales representative John Worley and reports to Gold Bond President Robert Naboicheck. Worley, who worked for the company for 19 years, recently died.
“Jerry is a great addition to our sales network in this vibrant region,” Naboicheck said. “We’re confident that our retail partners in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine will benefit from Jerry’s retail expertise and skilled sales knowledge.”
Colpitts started his career in 1976 when he went to work for furniture retailer Scandinavian Designs as a high school student.
His experience includes time with Mattress Discounters as a manager, and he was later general manager of Waterrest Bedroom. In 1995, Colpitts opened Slumberrest/Bedrooms with partners. He sold his share in the business in 2008.
