West Elm and Casper Launch Exclusive Retail Partnership
Sleep startup, Casper and West Elm, a leading home furnishings retailer, today announced a partnership to sell Casper's one perfect mattress at West Elm stores and westelm.com.
Beginning this month, consumers can experience Casper's eponymous sleep surface in person at West Elm stores in the U.S. and order mattresses starting at $500 to ship directly nationwide.
"With Casper as our innovative partner, we are able to provide the ultimate modern retail experience of purchasing a hand-blocked quilt, Mid-century bed, and well-engineered mattress all in one convenient shop," said West Elm President Jim Brett. "We are thrilled to support the Casper mission and become part of today's sleep and wellness movement."
"Demand for Casper has been overwhelming," said Philip Krim, Casper Co-founder and CEO. "Casper.com is crucially important for interacting with our customers, but we've found that people love to experience Casper in person as well. It's an incredible opportunity to build upon that demand with West Elm, a partner with a national reputation for great design and innovative partnerships."
In just two short years, Casper has developed a cult following of fans enamored with the brand's meticulously engineered sleep products, simple direct to consumer model, and over-the-top customer service. The partnership will give Casper owners and fans access to West Elm's signature mix of modern and handcrafted furnishings and accessories, and will give Casper the opportunity to introduce itself to West Elm shoppers across the country.
The Casper mattress is an outrageously comfortable sleep surface developed by an in-house team of engineers with more than fifty patents among them. It is constructed from a combination of memory and latex foams, so it sleeps cool and provides healthy bounce. Starting at just $500, the Casper comes in six standard sizes, and is delivered directly to customers in a small box. Last year, it was named one of TIME Magazine's Best Inventions of 2015.
