Kingsdown Steps up Luxury Business

North Carolina-based Kingsdown, Inc., stepped up its play in the luxury bedding arena with its six-model Crown Imperial Collection introduced at the High Point Market.

The collection is handcrafted and boasts a construction story of micro coils and pocketed coils combined with gel-infused memory foam for the ultimate in supportive comfort.

Priced to retail from $1,999 to $3,999 in queen, beds in Kingsdown’s Crown Imperial range from a 13-inch profile to a plush 16.5-inch profile. Each model carries a 10-year warranty.

“Detailed, luxurious, handcrafting is an important part of our 114-year legacy, and Crown Imperial builds on that tradition,” said Frank Hood, president and CEO. “Retailers and consumers see Kingsdown as an upscale, sumptuous bedding resource. Our unveiling of Crown Imperial solidifies us in that arena. Higher margin beds remain a key growth area in the bedding category, and we’re thrilled to add the luxury SKUs to give our retail partners an edge in the high-end sector.”

The collection will be manufactured in Kingsdown’s Mebane, N.C., production facilities.
