Jim Noble, who once owned furniture industry favorite restaurant J. Basul Noble in High Point and currently owns four restaurants in North Carolina, will keynote the 19th Annual Furniture Fellowship Breakfast.
The breakfast will be held at 7 a.m. Saturday, April 20 in the International Home Furnishings Center Ballroom on the 11th floor.
If every believer is a minister, then every business is a ministry, said Noble. The Charlotte-based restaurateur actively practices marketplace ministry, as two of his newest restaurants, the Kings Kitchen and The Kings Bakery, donate all profits to help feed the poor in the Charlotte area. Through the non-profit outreach of Restoration Word Ministries founded in 1998 by Noble and his wife, Karen, the restaurants feed nearly 100 impoverished people daily, along with leading them in Bible discipleship classes.
In addition to specializing in new local Southern cuisine at three Charlotte restaurants and one in Winston-Salem, the Nobles started Restoring Place Church with a goal to transform lives and help people get off the streets to live a life of fullness and blessing, Noble said.
Leading in music and worship at the breakfast will be the Rick Webb Family. Celebrating 30 years of gospel music ministry, The Rick Webb Family performs throughout the U.S. and internationally and has been part of the Day of Discovery TV music ministry and International Wesleyan Hour radio ministry for many years.
Industry professionals will present the opening and closing prayers and New Testament and Old Testament Scripture readings as well.
Cost of admission for the breakfast is $25 for an individual, which includes breakfast. A table for 10 people can be purchased for $250 'and a half-table for five people for $125 or individual seats for $25. Participants and companies are encouraged to be General Breakfast Sponsors, making a contribution of $100, $250, $550 or more. In addition to receiving special recognition in the program, sponsorships will be used to contribute to The Kings Kitchen ministry of feeding the poor and also help fund a scholarship for a High Point University student.

In the first move of its kind for the brand, appliance maker Jenn-Air will open a showroom in New York next month as part of its effort to raise its profile among design professionals.
The space, occupying the entire fifth floor of the Decoration & Design (D&D) Annex at 222 East 59th Street, also will serve as a showcase for Christopher Peacock Home, a designer of high-end kitchen cabinetry and home furnishings. Its three fully-outfitted Jenn-Air kitchens will include one equipped for live cooking demonstrations.
The showroom will not handle sales of the appliances, but will facilitate purchases through Jenn-Air retail partners and offer related design services, according to Steve Brown, general manager of Jenn-Air. Trained staff will be on hand to provide information and guidance in selecting from the complete product line, which was recently redesigned and re-launched as a luxury appliance collection.
"Jenn-Air and Christopher Peacock Home share a commitment to design and craftsmanship, and to making luxury products right here in America," Brown said. "This showroom will serve as a key resource for design professionals and their clients, and provide an ideal showcase for our two highly compatible brands."
According to Brown, the alliance reflects the Jenn-Air brand's broader strategy of "offering information and inspiration in highly experiential, highly contextual ways and settings."
Related initiatives include a new iPhone application that lets users envision Jenn-Air appliances in their kitchens, participation in high-profile designer show homes, and exclusive sponsorship of major culinary events.
"Showing the Jenn-Air appliance collection together with high-end cabinetry and furnishings is another way to not only inform and inspire, but to communicate our transformation into a true luxury brand," Brown said.

Doodle Home, a virtual studio for interior designers, has created a Web site to assist designers with the non-creative parts of their business.
The Web platform supports designers' creative side of the business by providing a more effective way for interior designers to run their business.
"We have a passion and a reverence for design," said Jennifer Gilbert, founder and CEO of Doodle Home. "Doodle Home was founded on the belief that interior designers produce their best work when all they have to do is what they do best: design."
Doodle Home is a design-oriented technology company that offers interior designers an exclusive combination of complimentary online tools and a dedicated designer's assistant to bring their next great space to life.
The Doodle Home platform boasts a number of features, including a virtual showroom and a simple quote tool that lets designers request quotes for any product, from any manufacturer. The company's online tools and ASID/IIDA designer's assistants help designers:
* Access any product from any manufacturer;
* Discover new and unique products in a curated collection from around the world;
* Acquire product information, samples, request quotes and place orders for furniture, textiles, lighting and accessories, from any source, all in one place; and,
* Manage orders from spec through delivery, at no charge.
"We are a team of experienced interior designers, and technology and business experts, passionate about simplifying the business of interior design," said Fernando Prieto, president of Doodle Home. "We believe that designers have an amazing artistic ability that flourishes when they are not only inspired, but when they are unencumbered with the rigors of running a business."
