"When considering the cost of supplies and human labor, Velocitags can generate tags for usually 97 percent less money than writing them by hand, therefore allowing the company to change out tags regularly and keep there showrooms looking fresh. Not to mention it eliminates the costly mistake of inaccurate calculations during pricing."

Each user's system stores the product information allowing Velocitags to act as a stand alone solution to automatically calculate pricing, markup and discounts. The system also can utilize manufacturer price lists or a user's current software package that might not have a sophisticated solution to generate the price tags. Unique features such as cost code and bar-coding capabilities have been added to the software making it an all inclusive solution.

Further information, including a complete demo of the product can be found at the Velocitag's Web site or by calling 888.337.3384.

Land of Nod Recalls Rosebud Cribs

By Home Furnishings Business in Legal on February 2, 2011

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with The Land of Nod, announced a voluntary recall last week of the company's Rosebud drop-side cribs.

The cribs pose entrapment, suffocation and fall hazards. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

The recall involves around 300 cribs manufactured for Northbrook, Ill.-based Land of Nod by Status Furniture, now out of business.

The drop-side rail hardware on the cribs can break or fail, allowing the drop side to detach from the crib. When the drop side detaches, a hazardous gap is created between the drop-side rail and the crib mattress in which infants and toddlers can become wedged or entrapped, posing risks of suffocation and strangulation. In addition, children can fall out of the crib when the drop-side rail falls unexpectedly or detaches from the crib. Drop-side rail failures can also occur due to incorrect assembly or with age-related wear and tear.

CPSC and The Land of Nod have received 13 reports involving drop-side hardware that has malfunctioned or failed. No injuries have been reported.

Consumers should stop using these cribs immediately and contact The Land of Nod to receive instructions on how to receive a merchandise credit for the full purchase price of the crib ($599). The Land of Nod is undertaking this recall for its customers because Status Furniture is out of business. In the meantime, parents are urged to find an alternate, safe sleeping environment for the child, such as a bassinet, play yard or toddler bed depending on the child€™s age.

For additional information, contact The Land of Nod at 800.933.9904 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Central Time) Monday-Friday, e-mail here, or visit The Land of Nod Web site.
