Wall decor vendor Classy Art Wholesalers has launched a brand new Web site, and doubled its Tupelo Furniture Market showroom presence.

The new Classy Art Web site features two separate sides, one with attractive product and business information, and the other side dedicated to business. The business side gives a familiar retail feel to e-commerce to lend a sense of familiarity and comfort to the wholesale shopper.€¨ €¨The site is operational but is currently adding state-of-the-art features. Those include an area for all media and press releases, a catalog request form, a catalog download, online credit application and agreement, FAQ, floor maps of all market showrooms with appointment setter link, and descriptive details of each of the 2,500 items in the line with close up images of every frame.€¨ €¨New features to look for in the next few weeks are 24/7 live chat support, clickable rep-locator map, retailer locator, and instant freight quotes based on customers' ZIP Code and items in the cart.€¨ €¨In Tupelo, Classy Art has doubled its space to more than 6,000 square feet with a move into a permanent showroom, Building 1, space 1436, formerly was occupied by Orleans, for the Feb. 17-20 winter show.

"The Tupelo Market has always been a good writing show for us, and we will continue to show there until they kick us out," said Vice President of Marketing and Sales Gabriel Cohen. "We have seen growths every market over the past six years, and we are eager to see more. Much of this is due to falling competition, and the rest is due to continuing to grow the line and our exposure offering the true sense of the word value to furniture retailers."

The move will allow Classy Art to display 90 percent of its 2,500-SKU line. Classy Art will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 4:15 p.m. to celebrate the new showroom.

By Home Furnishings Business in on February 4, 2011 The former chief financial officer for Hooker Furniture (NASDAQ: HOFT) has been elected to the company's board of directors.

Larry Ryder spent 34 years with the company and retired last year from his position as CFO and executive vice president of finance and administration.

"The board of directors believes it will be extremely beneficial for Hooker Furniture to have Larry's continued involvement at the company in this new and different capacity," said Paul Toms, chairman, chief executive officer and president. Dick Idol Partners with Crestview

By Home Furnishings Business in licensing on February 4, 2011

Outdoor lifestyle brand Dick Idol has partnered with Crestview Collection for a line of lighting, accessories, wall decor and accent furniture.

The new line, which includes around 200 SKUs, will debut at Spring High Point Furniture Market in Crestview's space, Suites at Market Square M-1000B and 1-464. The launch coincides with a major new product push across the Dick Idol brand to include new case goods and upholstery from Shadow Mountain, area rugs from Surya, unique reclaimed accents from Groovystuff and bedding from Silverado Home, among others.

The partnership with Dick Idol is Crestview's first licensing initiative and is expected to help the company reach new customers by helping them fill a large untapped void in their assortment. As an artist and designer of home furnishings, Idol offers the unique ability to combine the elements of nature, western and Native American influences, wildlife, sporting looks and other iconic elements of the rustic/outdoor lifestyle, all with a sense of "rustic elegance."  Dick Idol achieves broad universal appeal that transcends many decorative styles by utilizing both innovative traditional rustic comforts and a new bold and fresh rustic contemporary look designed for today's trends.

"I am extremely pleased to announce our new partnership with Crestview as it has been our objective for years to simplify our business by consolidating the key lighting, accessory, and accent categories under one roof," said Dick Idol, Montana outdoorsman, artist, and brand founder. "It will be much easier to coordinate product development and should streamline shopping for buyers who want our refined rustic look. We have known and respected the Crestview team for years, and we all agreed that it was finally an ideal time for us to partner."

"Our company continues to grow, and we believe our first licensing partnership with Dick Idol will help us expand our product line and customer base," said Bryan Williams, Crestview executive vice president. "Crestview is excited to work together with the entire Dick Idol team including Shadow Mountain and all the other great partners."

Crestview Collection, Memphis, Tenn., has a main operations office and 22,000-square-foot showroom located in Dong Guan City, China. In addition to High Point, Crestview has permanent showrooms in Las Vegas (World Market Center A-353), Atlanta (AmericasMart Building 2 1218 and 1207) and Dallas (World Trade Center 6460).
