Through May 12 Surya invites customers and Pinterest users to enter the Inspired Home Sweepstakes for a chance to win a Surya rug and home accessory package of their choosing from themes inspired by travel, fashion or nature. The sweepstakes theme is aligned with Suryas High Point Furniture Market inspiration-themed campaign, which highlights the creative inspirations behind many of Surya's products.
This is the home décor brands first Pin It to Win It sweepstakes. Its objective is to recognize the important role that inspiration plays in the design process, while also driving overall brand awareness. Entrants must create an "Inspired Home" board on Pinterest and pin the featured accessory package they would like to win from Suryas Inspired Home Sweepstakes board as well as three of their other favorite products from Suryas Pinterest page or Web site.
We love Pinterest. It provides a powerful visual and social platform to engage with our design-focused customer base in new and exciting ways, said Surya President Satya Tiwari. We not only use it as a place to share information and inspiration, but also as a tool to see what resonates with our page followers. That valuable information is then incorporated into our product development process.
Suryas Pinterest page, launched last year, features more than 50 design boards, organized by colors, trends, rooms and designers. The company has more than 2,800 followers.

Gormans Home Furnishings & Interior Design will host the only Michigan stop of the cross-country Thayer Coggin Trunk Show tour.
Gorman's will feature the tour at its Southfield contemporary furniture showroom May 2-8.
The national tour showcases internationally acclaimed designer Milo Baughmans mid-century, modern era furniture designs. Dozens of Baughmans most noted pieces created exclusively for Thayer Coggin Furniture, will serve as the centerpiece of the tour.
Southfield was one of only 21 cities in the country selected to host a stop on this elite tour. Its a perfect choice and an honor for Gormans to host, said Tom Lias, president and COO of Gormans. Metro Detroiters have a sophisticated appreciation for contemporary furniture and its history. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Baughman is often regarded as one of the leading contemporary furniture designers of the late twentieth century. His collection spanned decades, closing with the iconic wood-tipped Studio MB, Baughmans last design before his death in 2003.
Baughmans close friendship with Thayer Coggin allowed them to collaborate on groundbreaking designs that remain cornerstones in American-made, contemporary furniture.
Thayer Coggin designs are often known to appreciate in value as they age. Designs that were sold twenty-five years ago are actually selling for more money than what you would buy new pieces for today," Lias said. "Good design has benefits.
The tour will include the first piece of furniture designed by Coggin and Baughman in 1953, the Scoop, a lipstick red chair with polished stainless-steel legs.
"In celebration of our 60th anniversary, we are taking these design classics to furniture showrooms across the country. It's a furniture trunk show, so to speak, we just deliver it with a transfer truck," said Thayer Coggin President Royale Coggin Wiggin. "Milo Baughman and Thayer Coggin worked together to define a classical era of modern furniture in America. This road show will highlight the history of our company and spotlight our commitment to excellence and craftsmanship in making American contemporary furniture."
A cocktail reception event will be held 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 2; and will feature special guest speaker Phil Miller, director of sales and marketing for Thayer Coggin Furniture. He will discuss the friendship and partnership between Coggin and Baughman.
