Bedding supplier Tempur-Pedic (NYSE: TPX) has partnered with HGTV to feature a range of sleep products in the first-ever HGTV Smart Home.
The HGTV Smart Home will showcases the latest products in home technology, coupled with eco-friendly features. Built by HGTV in the community of Paradise Key South Beach in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., the high-tech home will be awarded to a consumer June 13 as part of an HGTV Smart Home Giveaway.
The HGTV Smart Home focuses on both increased energy efficiency and smart home technology. "Our premium-quality mattresses, bed bases and pillows, which are used throughout the Smart Home, bring truly luxurious and customized sleep to an entirely new level."
Among the Tempur-Pedic products featured in the HGTV Smart Home is the Tempur-Ergo Premier adjustable bed base, offering head lift, leg lift, three massage zones per sleeper and multiple pre-programmed massage options. The base includes a Wi-Fi module, and users can download a Tempur-Ergo System Premier app enabling them to operate the movable bed base and all massage features via a variety of wireless-enabled Apple or Android devices. The base is paired with a Tempur-Cloud Supreme Breeze mattress with Tempur-Breeze technology that draws moisture away from the body and dissipates excess heat for a cool, comfortable night's sleep. Several additional Tempur-Pedic products are also featured.
"The features and functionality of this home are like nothing we've ever offered in HGTV home giveaways, and set the standard for creative spaces and ways that consumers can use emerging technology to improve their homes," said Jack Thomasson, HGTV house planner.
