Outdoor furniture and accessory vendor Highwood USA has a new benefits program for retail dealers.
The program is designed to enable outdoor living and casual furniture retailers as well as garden centers to enhance their display areas with Highwood USAs outdoor furniture and accessories, including the companys Pocono Deep Seating Collection and new deck storage boxes.
The benefits program includes an initial special floor sample offer, which will allow retailers to purchase Highwood USA products for merchandising displays at a low-risk, highly discounted rate. In addition, shipping costs of sample products will be waived.
With low-purchasing costs and no shipping fees, our new program enables dealers to allocate additional funds for branding and marketing purposes, says Craig Smith, director of sales & marketing for Highwood USA, Tamaqua, Pa.
Also included as part of the new dealer benefits program are point-of-purchase materials. Highwood USA has created new signage to augment consumer sales in the form of a poster that can be affixed directly onto each product, showcased nearby or mounted on walls and displays. The poster is a self-selling component of the benefits program and highlights the unique attributes of Highwood USAs outdoor furniture and accessories. Mattress and furniture warranty and mattress accessory vendor GBS Enterprises has a new High Point showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center.
GBS, which debuted at High Point Furniture Market in a temporary space last October, has moved to a 1,200-square-foot showroom in the IHFCs Main wing, Space 640.
Our multi-market commitment to High Point is a deliberate strategy to confirm just how effective this venue will be to the continued success of our premium products and services to our conventional retail channels as well as potential new channels of distribution for GBS, said Dave Powers, president. We certainly are aware that many East Coast retailers may not venture to Las Vegas and we wish to better service this sector of the U.S. market with this commitment.
At market, GBS Enterprises will unveil its new 5- and 10-year Adjustable Bed extended warranty program as well as a refined and upgraded specialty pillow offering. The company also will spotlight its flagship mattress protection products and furniture warranty protection programs.
Based in Sutton, Neb., where it operates a production and distribution facility, GBS Enterprises celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. GBS Enterprises markets its products under a number of brand names, including Protect All and Healthy Sleep.
Sleep products and services are a key profit center, and the addition of GBS Enterprises to the roster of IHFC exhibitors provides another convenient sourcing option for sleep shops, furniture stores and other buyers, said Julie Messner, vice president of leasing for International Market Centers.

Wall art source Scandinavian Art Factory has added a second High Point Furniture Market showroom.
Scandinavian Art Factory will exhibit in a 220-square-foot showroom in the International Home Furnishing Center's Design Center, Space D749. It also will continue to exhibit in an 1,100-square-foot showroom in the Salon area in the Suites at Market Square, Space M-7047.
We wanted the additional exposure that the IHFC provides, said Mickey Waldrup, U.S. sales agent for Orlando, Fla.-based Scandinavian Art Factory, which started distributing the Danish Malerfabrikken line in 2012. We did a lot of volume last market, and we think that being in the Design Center will make it even easier for retailers to shop our line.
Malerfabrikken specializes in original contemporary wall art. The company has 14 artists in its factory, each with their own studio, who produce contemporary abstract paintings in acrylic on canvas with high-quality frames.
Our artists set their mark on every painting with their own artistic expression, said Ellen Waldrup, also a U.S. sales agent for the line. The quality is reflected in a correlation of choice of materials, technique and the artists skill and love for transforming it into art.
At the April market, Scandinavian Art Factory will feature a variety of new work from all its artists. The artists reproduce their originals to order, and no two pieces are exactly alike since all the work is created and signed by hand. Price points vary by size, with a 39 by 39-inch acrylic painting on stretched cotton canvas retailing for $605, all the way up to a 77 by 77-inch piece that retails for $2,670.
Scandinavian Art Factory adds another well-respected accessory source to the fashion-forward Design Center lineup, says Julie Messner, vice president of leasing for International Market Centers.
