La-Z-Boy Brands Set Social Media Strategy

By Home Furnishings Business in Social Media on May 1, 2012

La-Z-Boy furniture brands Hammary Furniture, Lea, and American Drew have rolled out a new social media initiative as part of their overall online marketing strategy.

€œAs we are seeing the migration of the consumer and retail buyer to a more social setting, we want to ensure our products can be found by those who are spending more and more time using Social Media,€ said Tom Daley, VP of Marketing & Regional Sales for the three brands.

Web4Retail, a division of Keniston & Company, designed and developed Facebook pages, Twitter pages, YouTube channels, and Pinterest boards for each brand.

€œAll three brands are very strong, with great name recognition. Our design team has created a Social Media presence that is visually appealing and informative, while bringing with it an active and vibrant Social Media voice,€ said Web4Retail CEO Denise Keniston.

Current data supports the use of social media for B2B marketing. A recent Business.com study shows that 55 percent of B2B survey respondents search for information using social media.

€œWe believe now is the time to engage consumers using social media, and that includes other businesses,€ say Daley, €œWe€™re very pleased with the initial roll out and we look forward to building our communities.€

Each brand's Facebook Page is on the following links: Hammary, American Drew, Lea.

Brook Furniture Rental Moves Grows in Dallas Area

By Home Furnishings Business in Rent-To-Own on May 1, 2012

Brook Furniture Rental has doubled the size its metropolitan Dallas showroom with a new location in Carrollton, Texas.

The 43,000-square-foot store, with room to expand, accommodates the company€™s growing service to customers in the Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin markets.

The multi-year lease gives Brook Furniture Rental, Inc. a showroom of 43,000 square feet, with options for expansion.

A May 17 reception hosted by Jeff Harvick, general manager, and the Dallas/Austin staff, will officially introduce Brook Furniture Rental clients and friends to the features of the new showroom. Also attending will be company Chairman Robert W. Crawford Jr. and President Robert W. Crawford III.

Harvick said the location and the size of the Carrollton showroom improve convenience and planning for customers served in the Dallas/Fort Worth and Austin metropolitan markets, where the company has been present for a decade. The national company, second largest in the domestic rent-to-rent segment of the U.S. furniture rental industry, is enjoying steady growth in Texas, where the company also has a Houston showroom.

€œWe are convenient to the President George Bush Turnpike, an advantage for customers visiting us and an advantage for us as we travel to our client locations,€ said Harvick. €œMore important, we now have room to display a broadened range of residential furniture choices available to our clients.€

The Dallas/Austin area, comprised of several of the nation€™s healthiest headquarters cities, sees a steady ingress of executives needing furnishings for temporary residences and offices, either because their assignment will be temporary or because they and their families intend to rent prior to purchase of a new home.

Other growing service categories for Brook Furniture Rental include staging, a service used by brokers and property owners for attractive display of homes and offices when offered for sale, and services to professional property managers such as owners of corporate apartments.
