Expanded Dallas Market Center Showrooms Debut

By Home Furnishings Business in on May 8, 2012 Dallas Market Center announced that several of its showrooms will debut expanded spaces during the June 20-26 Dallas Total Home & Gift Market.

"Leading up to June Markets, showrooms are investing in their business and continued success by adding additional space," said Cindy Morris, COO, Dallas Market Center. "Expansions are a win-win for both attendees and showrooms- more square footage means more products available for buyers."

DEMDACO recently expanded to 11,000 square feet in Trade Mart (TM) 1-1418. DEMDACO offers a wide range of product categories from decorative accessories to holiday, featuring lines such as Nat and Jules, Silvestri, Kelly Rae Roberts Collection and Willow Tree.

"We're very excited to expand our Dallas showroom allowing us additional room to show existing lines and present even more new products," said Trish Church Podlasek, director of marketing communications, DEMDACO. "The addition of a bank of windows along the main pathway provides more visibility from the outside creating a greater line of sight directly into the showroom. This expansion gives show-goers a bigger, more inviting view."

Studio A, located in World Trade Center (WTC) 6-6078, doubled its square footage. The showroom is owned by Global Views (WTC 6-608) and offers products in categories ranging from candles, decorative accessories, and furniture, to mirrors, pillows, and more.

"We are thrilled to enlarge our Studio A showroom," said Frederick Rayner, COO, Global Views. "A greater presence at Dallas Market Center will allow Studio A to expand with new product introductions and for the showroom to be more vignette oriented. The new space is adjacent to Global Views offering customers a convenient shopping experience of the sister companies."

French Laundry Home (WTC 6-6272) expanded and relocated to the textile neighborhood on the WTC 6th floor. Texas Tango, an anchor in The Range, expanded in WTC 6-6262. Reliant Ribbon Corp. (WTC 3-308) more than doubled its showroom for the June Market.

Robb & Stucky International Opens 2nd Store

By Home Furnishings Business in on May 8, 2012

Robb & Stucky International is expanding to Naples, Fla., after opening its flagship showroom in Fort Myers, Fla., in January.

The company broke ground last week, unveiling plans for a new 60,000-square-foot, two-level showroom in downtown Naples, Fla. The building's architectural design is transitional West Indies, designed to integrate within the existing architecture in downtown Naples. The Naples store will be the second Robb & Stucky International showroom to open under the company's new ownership and will bring 30 new jobs to the region.

"We are looking forward to joining the Naples community and to providing our expert interior design services and the finest merchandise and accessories from the world's leading manufacturers and designers to an expanded customer base," said Steven Lush, president of Robb & Stucky International. "Since opening the Fort Myers showroom, Robb & Stucky International has been well-received by our clientele. We are consistently exceeding our sales projections and look forward to continued growth."

Construction of the new building will begin immediately. MHK Architecture & Planning is the architectural firm and DeAngelis Diamond Construction, Inc. is the builder.

"We are excited about creating a beautiful new building in downtown Naples, and bringing new jobs and economic growth to the community," Lush said. "From a design standpoint, we wanted a building that had a 'Florida' feel to it, but also one that reflected changes in today's lifestyle-more relaxed and slightly more casual."

The store will features six distinct lifestyles, each one offering an exploration into a different design perspective, Lush said. The store's interior will be bright with a lot of natural light.

"The layout is open, making it a fun and easy store to shop," he said. "We think the store will offer a unique experience; there will be nothing else quite like in Florida or anywhere else in the country."

The company anticipates completion of the project in the fourth quarter of 2012, with a grand opening planned for early 2013. Robb & Stucky continues to search for additional locations in Florida.
