Lifestyle home furnishings vendor Four Hands will kick off Las Vegas Furniture Market with a ribbon cutting for its expanded showroom.
The event is set for July 30 at 9 a.m. at the showroom, World Market Center, space A-140, in the Las Vegas Design Center.
The celebration, open to all market buyers and media, will be attended by Four Hands top executives including: Matthew Briggs, president and CEO; Brett Hatton, founder and chairman; Jerome Kearns, COO; and Chris Miller, national sales manager.
According to Briggs, the company's growth via its expansion at LVDC speaks to the company's leadership position within the furniture industry. Established 17 years ago, Four Hands sells to a wide variety of retailers around the globe and dominates a growing niche of contemporary and accessible design. At LVDC, Four Hands' new showroom more than doubles in size, jumping from 8,000 to nearly 20,000 square feet and dominating the south end of Building A.
Four Hands sets the bar for thoughtful, smart furniture design, said Briggs. Our customers time is extremely valuable so we put equal thought and effort into our showrooms design; creating an engaging yet convenient experience during market time. Las Vegas has proven to be a perfect market to achieve that."
According to Paul Watson, vice president of Las Vegas Design Center, the energy at Four Hands is contagious.
Four Hands continues to play a major role in LVDCs progression as the regions most comprehensive resource for home furnishings, said Watson. In the past year, LVDC has grown significantly, and Four Hands, true to its trend-setting form, is easily one of the most popular showrooms with retailers and designers alike.

The 25th annual golf outing hosted by Bobs Discount Furniture Charitable Foundation and Planned Furniture Promotions raised more than $447,000.
The funds raised during the event will benefit charities including the American Red Cross, Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters, American Cancer Societys Camp Rising Sun, Family & Childrens Aid, The Jimmy Fund and Connecticut Childrens Medical Center.
This event is about the children in the communities we serve, and its a labor of love, said Bob Kaufman, co-founder of Bobs Discount Furniture, Manchester, Conn. We think its wonderful that for 25 straight years our employees, vendors and executive team have enthusiastically supported our commitment to these invaluable non-profit organizations that help so many children in need.
The charity golf outing was started 25 years ago by Planned Furniture Promotions, a leading sales promotion company in the home furnishing industry. Bobs Discount Furniture became an event partner when Kaufman and Gene Rosenberg, who also is the founder of Planned Furniture Promotions, opened Bobs in 1991.
Over the years, I have been to many of the facilities that support Bobs Kids. Seeing the smiles on the kids faces and the joy that it brings them makes this all worthwhile, said Rosenberg.
This years outing included a round golf at the Tunxis Plantation Country Club in Farmington, Conn., followed by an evening event at the Farmington Club featuring dinner with silent and live auctions. Kaufman and Rosenberg enjoyed the festivities alongside fellow employees, partners and community members.
Camp Rising Sun allows kids with cancer a chance to get away from chemo and clinics for a week and just be a kid at camp. We also plan family events during the year and a Mini Camp Weekend, said Shaun Heffernan, camp director at Camp Rising Sun, a program of the American Cancer Society. Bobs has been raising funds on our behalf for the last 25 years, and we couldnt expand our programs without their support.
Bobs has been committed to supporting communities where its stores are located since the companys inception through Bob's Charitable Foundation and Bobs Outreach program. Bobs Charitable Foundation responds to more than 100 requests for charitable donations per week. Each year, the Foundation donates more than $1.5 million in furniture, gift certificates and monetary donations to projects that support children in need.
We are so grateful to Bobs Discount Furniture and their customers for their generosity. Through their support, Bobs is helping to ensure that the children of our region receive the outstanding health care they deserve, said Martha Schall, president of Connecticut Childrens Medical Center Foundation. Our ability to pursue promising scientific discoveries, have state-of-the-art technology and facilities, and recruit and retain skilled healthcare professionals who are dedicated to caring for children, is only possible with the support of partners like Bobs. For the past 15 years, Bobs has chosen to make the health of children a priority in their charitable giving and we are deeply honored to be a beneficiary.
