A Colorado-based home furniture company plans to bring 300 new jobs and generate $46.6 million in capital investment to metro Phoenix by building a massive 550,000-square-foot facility in Gilbert, according to a city statement Wednesday.
American Furniture Warehouse, which is based in Englewood, Colo., and has a dozen locations statewide, also has high hopes that the new Gilbert store will be its biggest money-maker yet.

Rug and home accessory vendor Surya will double its AmericasMart Atlanta showroom space as it moves to a new 13,500-square-foot location, 11-A-1.
The new showroom will open for next month's Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.
Were excited about this expansion, said Surya President Satya Tiwari. "The larger space on the home accessory geared 11th floor will allow us to showcase a complete range of Suryas lifestyle products in a more convenient location."
The Atlanta move, part of an effort to expand the companys reach over the next five years, follows Suryas Spring 2012 move into a new 26,000-square-foot High Point flagship location at Showplace 4100, as well as expansion into smaller regional shows such as the Tupelo Furniture Market.
