European mattress producer Magniflex has expanded its U.S. dealer network in Oregon, Washington and Alaska, and its Canadian network in Ontario and Alberta, representing a dozen more dealer locations in the first quarter of 2010.
The brand is adding new retailers, expanding its popular Quick Ship program, and offering deeper discounts on floor models, as part of its continued growth plans for the North American market, according to a company announcement.
Magniflex has expanded the products available and territories served through its Quick Ship program, which guarantees delivery in five days at one, flat-fee shipping cost. New and existing Magniflex dealers also receive additional discounts on new floor sample orders on top of existing discounts.
"We are taking significant steps to help retailers who in this economy are particularly pressed financially," said Marco Magni, global sales director for Magniflex. "With a very small investment they can add new floor models, and when orders are placed we can have product delivered to customers' doorsteps within a week. This not only offers savings to both retailers and consumers, but is also in line with our philosophy to continuously implement greener, greater efficiencies company-wide."
Two new products, the Duoform XM and the Bellagio Lavender mattress, were made available through Quick Ship for the same flat-fee pricing--$45 for a queen mattress to the 48 contiguous U.S. states. Magniflex also has begun shipping to Alaska, Puerto Rico and Hawaii, and is promoting complimentary shipping to all of the United States and Canada for any 10-piece orders.
Magniflex is highlighting 11 products in all on the program including four models from the Magniflex Classic Collection: Riposo, Buongiorno, Duoform XS, Duoform XM and the Dualcomfort Magnifico, and six models from The GeoEthic Collection: EcoBamboo, GreenCotton, SoyGreen, MaisPrestige, SeaCell Emotion and Bellagio Lavender. The collections carry a suggested retail price between $999 and $4,499 in queen.
Magniflex will show during the April 17-22 High Point Market in IHFC-M309.

The International Trade Commission will conduct a full five-year sunset review of an antidumping order on wood bedroom furniture from China.
The ITC reviews antidumping cases on their five-year anniversary, and based on input from the affected domestic industry and foreign manufacturer respondents, has the option to conduct an expedited review or a more time-consuming full review of the antidumping order.
According a Federal Register notification Thursday(http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/2010/2010-6622.htm), the ITC "found that the
domestic interested party group response to its notice of institution ... was adequate and the respondent interested party group response was inadequate." The ITC also found "other circumstances warranting a full review."
