As the 2020 recipient of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Irene Winifred Eno Grant, the Sustainable Furnishings Education Fund, managed by the Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC), has allocated the $5,000 award towards an interior designer survey entitled “What’s it made of?”, with responses due by Wed., Sep. 30, 2020.

Polywood, designer and manufacturer of American-made sustainable outdoor furnishings, has collaborated with designer and author Shayla Copas to create the Shayla Copas Fabric Collection by Polywood. The artistry and aesthetic of this well-recognized designer will be reflected in 17 original textile designs. The collection launches this fall to specialty retailers and will be available to the design trade and online in Spring 2021.

For this week’s New York Home Fashions Market Nourison has introduced area rugs with bold, linear designs and rich, vibrant accent rugs. Although the Nourison showroom at 230 Fifth Avenue will remain closed, and since New York Home Fashions Market Week is being hosted virtually, Sept. 14-17, Nourison is conducting digital presentations and virtual market appointments, providing customers with digital access to new introductions.

Shade products manufacturer Treasure Garden has announced 23 new additions of umbrella canopy fabric offerings for the 2021 season. The introductory fabric selections will include a jacquard, weaves, stripes and solids in 100% solution-dyed acrylic from major textile manufacturers Outdura, Sunbrella and Docril. Also, within the new offerings is an array of 100% solution-dyed polyester fashion stripes from O’bravia, a proprietary fabric line of Treasure Garden.
