American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Announces Inductees

Five influential industry leaders will be inducted into the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame on Oct. 18 during the High Point Market. Joining the current 143 members of the Hall of Fame are Kenneth Larson, founder, Slumberland Furniture; Mark Phillips, chairman and co-founder, Phillips Collection; Connie Post, CEO, Connie Post Affordable Design Solutions; Niraj S. Shah, CEO, co-founder and co-chairman, Wayfair; and J. Ralph Stump, founder and former CEO, Stump Financial Corporation.

Banner House Announces Agreement to Acquire Case Goods Brands

Banner House, formerly Magnussen Home Furnishings, Inc., announced that it signed an agreement to acquire the Kincaid and American Drew case goods brands from La-Z-Boy Incorporated. The transaction comes on the heels of Banner House’s recent acquisition of Pulaski Furniture and Samuel Lawrence Furniture, brands formerly part of Home Meridian International (HMI), from Hooker Furnishings Corporation.
