Mattress producer Eclipse International is capitalizing on the popularity of American luxury brands in China. In partnership with a new licensee, the company will open as many as 1,000 mattress specialty stores, dedicated to the company’s Ernest Hemingway brand over the next five years.

Art Van Furniture, a Midwestern furniture and mattress retailer with 190 stores in nine states, opened its newest store in Rochester Hills last week. The new, 48,000 square-foot showroom is located at 1032 S. Rochester Rd., and is Art Van Furniture’s 19th store in metro Detroit.
