Bob Timberlake-owned Items Head to Auction

Lexington, N.C.-based artist and home furnishings licensor Bob Timberlake plans to auction 411 lots of her personal collection. The auction will be held Friday.

Most people know of Bob Timberlake as the renowned Lexington artist and home furnishings entrepreneur.

A different side, that of a lifelong and diverse collector, will be on display Friday in an auction of 411 lots.

Leland Little Auction & Estate Sales Ltd. will conduct the auction of Timberlake-owned items at 1 p.m. at its office in Hillsborough. The items also will be available for absentee, online and phone bidding.

There will be six original Timberlake works on paper as part of the auction.

But the bulk of the lots are artifacts and collector items that include canoes, decoys and outdoors sporting equipment, Parker Brothers shotguns, colonial and Civil War period art and maps on paper and sketches, historic political items, and even a boxing glove signed by Muhammad Ali.
