RH Opens Texas DC, Call Center

Home furnishings retailer Restoration Hardware will open a $22 million, 865,000-square-foot distribution and call center in Grand Prairie, Texas, today. The facility will serve as the company's Southwest regional distribution hub and fulfillment center.
Restoration Hardware Holdings Inc., a high-end furniture and decorations company, plans to open its new $22 million, 855,000-square-foot distribution hub in Grand Prairie on Wednesday.
The facility at State Highway 161 and Arkansas Lane will serve as the California-based company's new southwest regional distribution hub and fulfillment center. The operation also includes a call center.
The company has hired 200 employees for the distribution hub and call center, but is continuing to hire employees. Earlier this year, the Dallas Business Journal wrote about Restoration Hardware coming to North Texas with plans to hire more than 300 employees.
The distribution hub was one of the largest industrial deals in North Texas in 2012. News about Restoration Hardware selecting North Texas for the facility was first reported by the Business Journal.
