Libas Sales Director Walter Bergquist Dies

Walter Bergquist, 67, a retired fabric sales director and history buff, died Sunday in Richmond University Medical Center, West Brighton, N.Y.
Bergquist retired from the textile industry in 2010 as sales director of Libas Ltd. in Manhattan, where he imported fabric for interior design customers. Previously, he worked for Tomen America in Manhattan importing fabric from Japan.
Born in Brooklyn, he graduated from John Jay High School and later served in the U.S. Marines stateside from 1966 to 1968.
