Bedding Veteran Larry Wride Passes Away

Longtime bedding industry executive Larry N. Wride, southeast regional sales manager for Boyd Specialty Sleep, died June 19. He was 66.
Wride, of Provo, Utah, is survived by his wife, Kathleen; three children, Jessica, Tyson and Jeremie, and six grandchildren. His fourth child, Kimberlee, passed away on June 9, shortly before Wride’s death from a heart attack.
“Anyone who knew Larry will remember him as an enthusiastic and optimistic person, a man wholly dedicated to his family and passionate about his work,” said Denny Boyd , president of Boyd Specialty Sleep, St. Louis. “He will be greatly missed both personally and professionally by many people inside and outside our company. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this very trying time.”
Before joining Boyd Specialty Sleep as a regional sales manager in 2004, Wride worked for several producers in the bedding industry in executive sales and marketing posts, including Comfortaire and Simmons Company. He was a graduate of Brigham Young University in Provo, where he earned a master’s degree in economics and a PhD in business philosophy.
