The move helps Secaucus, N.J.-based Cory accommodate growth in its customer list of national furniture, appliance, and electronics retailers. New clients include Art Van Furniture in Michigan; FAMSA and Bob Mills Furniture in Texas; Ethan Allen in Florida; and Walmart in Puerto Rico. Newly onboard in the Northeast region are Grange Furniture in North Bergen, N.J.; Ashley Furniture Homestores in Edison, N.J.; and as Mark’s Design Ethan Allen in Allentown, Pa.
Last year, Cory opened multiple delivery centers forming a strategic network of major-market locations, combined with the addition of new services and technology.
Klein and Valleri bring specific skill sets to their new positions. Klein, a graduate of New York University with a degree in finance, holds an MBA in management and marketing from Fordham University; while Valleri is a veteran in the retail furniture industry.
“Richard and Carmen are each uniquely qualified and synergistic in what they do," said newly appointed CEOPatrick Cory. "Richard’s strong financial background gives weight to our sales program, and Carmen’s industry knowledge and ability to speak the language of retailers are strong assets. They’ve already hit the ground running.”
The new sales and marketing appointments underscore Cory’s quest for growth on the eve of the company’s celebration of 80 years in business, which takes place in 2014.
“We are grateful to be providing high-level service to so many key retailers nationwide,” Cory said. “We appreciate the efforts of the many diverse people on our team. Richard and Carmen are integral to giving voice to Cory’s drive for new business.”
