Industry Recalls Made by Consumer Product Safety Commission

Two different dressers have been recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission for failing to meet the standards of the STURDY Act.

The recalled dressers are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in risks of serious injuries or death to children. The dressers violate the mandatory safety standards as required by the STURDY Act. 

Jocoevol 6-Drawer Dressers have been recalled. The recalled dressers come in black, pink, brown and white colorways. The dressers have six drawers and are made from engineered wood. They are 47.2 inches wide, 15.3 inches long, 32.3 inches tall, and weigh 97 pounds. The dressers have the model number “C-0633” printed on a label inside the top left drawer.

Consumers should stop using the recalled dressers immediately if they are not anchored to the wall, place them in an area that children cannot access and contact Yinklev for a full refund. 

Consumers will be asked to write in permanent marker “RECALLED” on the dresser and send a photo of the marked dresser to Jocoevoldresserrecall@outlook.com. Consumers should then dispose of the recalled product. 

These dressers were purchased on Amazon.com from December 2024 through July 2026 for about $160. There have been no injuries or incidents reported from these dressers.

The SOOWERY 8-Drawer Fabric Dresser has been recalled because if they are not anchored to the wall, they pose a tip-over and entrapment hazard that can result in risks of serious injuries or death to children. The dressers violate the mandatory safety standards as required by the STURDY Act.

The recalled dressers come in gray and black. The dressers have eight fabric drawers and the frames are made of metal. They measure 47.2 inches wide, 11.8 inches long, 35.4 inches tall and weigh 47.5 pounds. The SKU “SOO-8DD-G01” is printed on the products packaging.

Consumers should stop using the recalled dressers immediately if they are not anchored to the wall, place them in an area that children cannot access and contact SOOWERY for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to write in permanent marker “RECALLED” on the top, front and sides of the dresser, remove all drawers and send photos of the marked and disassembled dresser to SOOWERYrecall@outlook.com. Consumers should then dispose of the product. 

These dressers were purchased on Amazon.com from December 2025 through August 2026 for about $106. There have been no injuries or incidents reported from these dressers.
