Design-forward home furnishings manufacturer Villa & House announces its first annual Flatiron Trade Walk, bringing together 10 showrooms in New York City’s historic Flatiron District on Nov. 12. The trade-only event invites interior designers, retailers and industry professionals to explore area showrooms from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A closing reception sponsored by participating showrooms will be held at Villa & House from 6 - 8 p.m.
The walk gives designers and retailers a chance to see a wide range of the neighborhood’s trade resources, from kitchen and bath to fireplaces, textiles, lighting, and furniture. At each stop, attendees can see new products, handle materials and finishes, and meet the people behind each brand. Participating showrooms include ANNA New York, Dell Anno New York, Erik Lindström, HearthCabinet, LIXIL Water Experience Center, Maharam, Robin Reigi, Studio Four NYC, TOTO and Villa & House.
“The Flatiron District is home to an extraordinary community of design resources, and we wanted to create an occasion that brings that community together,” said Luca Rensi, co-founder, president and COO of Villa & House. “Our goal is to give designers and retailers an easy way to visit showrooms they may not know, reconnect with familiar partners and discover something unexpected. We envision it becoming an annual tradition that strengthens relationships throughout our design community.”
Attendees can start at any showroom and pick up an event Passport at their first stop. Each showroom visited earns a stamp, and each stamp counts as one entry into 10 separate prize drawings. Attendees can visit as many or as few showrooms, in any order, as they like.
The trade-only event concludes with a reception from 6 - 8 p.m. at Villa & House, 931 Broadway, where winners will be announced. Winners do not need to be present to win. No purchase necessary; see official rules at https://vandh.com/flatiron-trade-walk-official-rules/.
