Cyan Design Introduces Animalcore Table Lamps at HPMKT

From a mischievous poodle peeking over a lampshade to an elegant heron poised in graceful stillness, Cyan Design is bringing a little personality to the lighting category this fall. The company will introduce seven new animal-inspired table lamps at High Point Market, October 17–21, 2026, embracing the growing appeal of animalcore design with a collection that is equal parts sophisticated and playful.
Rendered in warm brushed brass finishes, the new lamps transform familiar animal forms into sculptural lighting statements, each capturing a distinctive personality. The result is a collection that brings character, humor and unexpected artistry to interiors without sacrificing refinement.
Animalcore, a design aesthetic that celebrates animal motifs and nature-inspired forms, provides the creative backdrop for the introductions. Rather than simply incorporating animal imagery, Cyan Design gives each creature a personality of its own, using expressive poses, intricate textures and unexpected interactions with traditional lampshades to create pieces that feel both decorative and delightfully unconventional.

Artistic interpretation of a poodle, blending playful AnimalCore charm with refined realism. Expressive and full of personality, its detailed form transforms a familiar companion into a whimsical statement piece with an elevated, decorative feel.
DAKOTA — Ready When You Are
A playful mini doodle lamp captured mid-wave, bringing a lighthearted sense of motion to the design. The raised paw, cheerful expression, and richly textured coat give the piece an animated quality, balanced by a polished finish and refined decorative presence.
DORIAN — A Loyal Companion
Inspired by the familiar charm of a Labrador retriever, Dorian embraces this breed’s easygoing, endearing spirit. The seated pose, open expression, and finely rendered coat give the piece a lifelike warmth, while the polished finish keeps the look elevated and design-forward.

Artistic interpretation of a peacock, blending a touch of fantasy with refined realism. Graceful yet expressive, its cascading feathers and flowing form are inspired by the soft, sweeping strokes of an oil painting.
A New Showroom Experience at High Point Market
The new table lamp collection will debut in Cyan Design's newly combined showroom with Lavin Rugs, located in IHFC C258. The redesigned space brings together Cyan Design's distinctive decorative accessories, lighting and furnishings with Lavin's curated rug collections, offering buyers an expanded opportunity to explore complementary home décor categories in one destination.
The connected showroom creates a more cohesive shopping experience, allowing retailers and designers to discover how statement lighting, decorative accents and rugs can work together to create layered, personality-filled interiors.
