Fritz Hansen Opens Showroom on Madison Avenue in NoMad

Wrap-around windows flood the showroom with natural light, while European oak floors, layered textiles and a thoughtfully curated mix of new and iconic Fritz Hansen pieces bring warmth and character to the space. The result is a contemporary, distinctly Nordic environment that balances a welcoming, residential sensibility with the functionality and versatility of a contract showroom.

"New York is a key design market for Fritz Hansen and a major focus for our growth in the Americas," says Chris Paulsen, Fritz Hansen's Vice President Americas. "This showroom gives us a home base to work closely with our partners alongside the trade community, deepen relationships with architects and designers, and create new opportunities to experience and engage with Fritz Hansen."

Among the collections on view is After, the brand's first collaboration with designer Michael Anastassiades, making its U.S. debut. The series includes a solid wood chair and dining table marked by geometric clarity and precise craftsmanship, drawing on the Fritz Hansen archive and the Danish tradition of collective contribution. It comes in two finishes: a raw ash with a hard waxed oil finish, and a richer burgundy lazur, with the burgundy dining table topped in Rosso Levanto marble.

The showroom's opening celebration takes place on Oct. 15 from 6 to 9 pm and includes a conversation between Anastassiades and Fritz Hansen Creative Director Els Van Hoorebeeck on heritage, collaboration and the making of After, along with an intimate look at the collection.
