Coaster Fine Furniture will introduce more than 60 new handcrafted accent pieces from India at the Fall High Point Market, expanding its assortment with distinctive designs that showcase the bench made craftsmanship, solid wood and marble, handcrafted and value of furniture made by Indian artisans.
The special trunk show will span a range of categories, including 27 accent cabinets, 20 side tables and 14 drink tables, along with five occasional collections. Market attendees will be able to explore the India assortment in a dedicated display on the fourth floor of Coaster’s High Point showroom.
Crafted with quality materials like iron metal, solid wood and solid marble, the introductions emphasize hand-carved designs, natural variations and artisanal techniques that give the pieces a distinctive character. Coaster continues to expand into fashionable designs, quality products and elevated displays while still delivering affordable, retail-friendly options across promotional, mid-range and higher price points.
“India has become an important part of how we differentiate our assortment, and we are continuing to expand our investment in the category,” said Crystal Nguyen, vice president of merchandise and strategic product planning at Coaster Fine Furniture. “It gives us an authentic designer category using solid wood and solid marble story, along with beautiful hand-carved craftsmanship that helps separate our product offering in the marketplace.”
Highlights include the Solis accent cabinet, handcrafted from solid mango wood with an abstract carving of sweeping curves, layered arches, rippling lines and botanical details. A natural finish highlights the wood grain and craftsmanship, continuing the pattern across the cabinet’s front.
The Aranda two-door accent cabinet is also handcrafted from solid mango wood and features a carved Tree of Life motif. Sculpted branches, individually carved leaves and deeply detailed roots create dimension across the cabinet front, while a soft natural finish highlights the texture and character of the wood.
Another of the featured accent cabinets is Carven, a solid mango wood design distinguished by bold hand-carved floral medallions with layered fan-shaped petals, rounded centers and pebble-like accents. Natural variations in the wood and carving give each cabinet its own individual character.
“These pieces really showcase the beauty of handcrafted furniture from India,” Nguyen said. “From the depth of the carvings to the natural character of the wood and stone, there is an artistry to the collection that makes these pieces stand out on the showroom floor while also offering the functionality retailers and consumers are looking for.”
Coaster will also introduce new side tables, drink tables and occasional collections from India, expanding the handcrafted aesthetic across a broader range of accent categories. Additional product details and designs will be unveiled during Market.
To view Coaster’s India accent introductions and other Fall Market debuts, visitors can stop by the company’s showroom at 111 E. Commerce Ave. during the High Point Market.
