Intiaro Launches AI CPQ for Quoting Process of Made-to-Order Manufacturers

Industry-leading technology provider Intiaro has launched AI CPQ, a configure, price and quote platform to transform the quoting process for made-to-order furniture manufacturers selling through dealers and sales representatives.

For years, Intiaro has provided furniture brands with industry-leading 3D configurator technology that allows retailers and consumers to explore product options and see selections in real time. AI CPQ has the flexibility to be a stand-alone pricing engine or work alongside Intiaro’s 3D configurator, connecting a product configuration with the pricing rules behind it so sales associates can move from visualizing a selection to accurately quoting it. The company says the impact is significant: a quote that could take a customer-service representative two days to prepare can now take a dealer two minutes, with the right price the first time.

A key differentiator is how quickly manufacturers can put the technology to work. Rather than requiring teams to manually rebuild years of pricing logic within a new system, AI CPQ uses artificial intelligence to read manufacturers’ existing price lists, spreadsheets and other files and translate that information into structured pricing rules. A project that traditionally could take months can be implemented in weeks.

“For manufacturers, that means revenue pulled forward, costly pricing errors pulled out of the factory and sales and customer-service teams freed from manual quoting tasks to focus on selling and serving customers,” said Michal Stachowski, Intiaro’s CCO and co-founder.

While AI CPQ is new to the broader Intiaro conversation, the capability itself is not. Its development grew in part from Intiaro’s long-standing collaboration with Ethan Allen, a technology leader and early adopter of digital tools in the furniture industry. Over eight years of working together, Ethan Allen and Intiaro have continually explored how technology can make the sales process more streamlined and the buying journey more seamless. That close partnership and real-world application helped inspire the evolution of Intiaro’s technology from visual configuration into today’s AI-powered pricing and quoting capabilities.

“We’ve always looked at technology through the lens of how it can help our dealers sell more effectively, and our eight-year partnership with Intiaro has given us the opportunity to keep pushing that forward,” said Joann Thoms, vice president, Digital Engagement at Ethan Allen Global, Inc. “There is tremendous power in bringing the visualizer and configurator together with an intelligent pricing engine. The customer can see exactly what they’re buying, personalize the purchase, and know the price is right, all in the same experience. That kind of speed, accuracy and confidence changes what technology can do for the purchase process and sales revenue.”

That foundation has allowed Intiaro to quietly prove the power and value of AI CPQ with furniture manufacturers before its broader release. Yutzy, an American-made case goods manufacturer, is among the companies using the platform to simplify pricing and quoting. Dealer-specific pricing gives Yutzy control to update, manage and ensure accuracy across its network. Beyond pricing, the platform has enhanced customer service and streamlined order entry, according to Yutzy.

Price quote challenges extend beyond product configuration. Manufacturers may be managing dealer-specific terms, margins, sales channels and other commercial rules, all of which must be reflected accurately in the final quote. AI CPQ brings those variables into one system, giving manufacturers greater control and consistency while providing dealers with self-service access to the pricing applicable to them.

Retail partners can access applicable pricing and prepare quotes through a branded dealer portal without searching separate price lists, performing manual calculations or sending requests back to the manufacturer. Manufacturers can update pricing and manage dealer-specific rules centrally, helping ensure those changes reach the sales network consistently.

“We recognize that CPQ can appear to be a daunting undertaking for many companies, but we can show you very quickly that it doesn’t have to break the bank or your team to achieve total pricing accuracy and control,” said Stachowski.

The Intiaro team will be available by appointment during High Point Market, Oct 15-22.
